Intrahepatic cholangiocarcinoma (ICC) accounts for 10–20% of primary liver malignancies, with an increasing incidence in western countries during recent years. In general, prognosis is poor, with a reported median survival of less than 9 months after diagnosis in the majority of patients with unresectable disease [
