Zusammenfassung

Das Weaning von der Beatmung stellt einen wichtigen Schritt bei der Behandlung von Intensivpatienten dar. Beim Umstellen von Druckbeatmung auf Spontanatmung treten oftmals signifikante kardiopulmonale Interaktionen auf. Für ein erfolgreiches Weaning sind das Erkennen von Risikopatienten und das Monitoring und Therapieren einer kardiozirkulatorischen Dysfunktion bis zum Weaning-induzierten Lungenödem (WIPO) entscheidend. Als geeignete Untersuchungsverfahren haben Echokardiographie und Lungensonographie einen hohen Stellenwert im intensivmedizinischen Alltag.
