Zusammenfassung

Die von der freiwilligen Selbstkontrolle für die Arzneimittelindustrie (FSA) im Juni 2016 hergestellte Transparenz über Zahlungen pharmazeutischer Unternehmen an Ärzte sowie das Gesetz zur Bekämpfung von Korruption im Gesundheitswesen [1] geben Anlass, einen aktuellen Blick auf Interessenkonflikte zu werfen, die aus den engen Beziehungen der Ärzteschaft zu pharmazeutischen Unternehmen resultieren. Solche Interessenkonflikte stellen zwar meist kein korruptes Verhalten dar, erhöhen aber das Risiko, dass diagnostische und therapeutische Entscheidungen nicht allein zum Patientenwohl getroffen werden. Daher sollten konsequent Schritte zu mehr Unabhängigkeit von Einflüssen pharmazeutischer Unternehmen erfolgen.
