Bariatric surgery proves to be an effective treatment for morbid obesity but is accompanied with a host of complications. In overweight individuals however, the most common approach is a combination of diet/lifestyle therapy and medication. Many weight-loss medications come with side effects and/or a litany of contradictions. Currently, there is no singular treatment or therapy for patients with a BMI 30.0–35.0. Percutaneous transcatheter bariatric embolotherapy (PTBE) is a minimally invasive and promising treatment for weight loss that could fill this unmet need [
