Multiresistente Keime in der Augenheilkunde

Zusammenfassung

Eine zunehmende Bedrohung in der Medizin geht von Keimen aus, die gegen eine Vielzahl der verfügbaren Antibiotika resistent sind. Die wichtigsten multiresistenten Erreger (MRE) sind methicillinresistente S. aureus (MRSA), vancomycinresistente MRSA (VMRSA), vancomycinresistente Enterokokken (VRE), und Enterobacteriaceae mit „extented spectrum beta lactamase“ (ESBL). Insbesondere für MRSA und VRE sind Infektionen in allen Bereichen der Augenheilkunde möglich. Am häufigsten sind die Lider, die Tränenwege und die Augenoberfläche betroffen.
