Zusammenfassung

Angesichts der Globalisierung und der damit verbundenen Warentransporte sowie einer zunehmenden Reisetätigkeit auch in der deutschen Bevölkerung häufen sich importierte Infektionen mit subtropischen und tropischen Erregern. Differenzialdiagnostisch kommt bei akutem Fieber mit Allgemeinsymptomen und Exanthem eine Reihe von Erkrankungen in Betracht. Neben Morphe und Verteilung des Exanthems sind genaue Angaben über den Reiseverlauf und epidemiologische Angaben über länderspezifische Risiken auf dem Weg zur richtigen Diagnose hilfreich. Dieser Beitrag gibt eine Übersicht über die häufigsten Exantheme bei Reiserückkehrer*innen, ihre Begleitsymptome, Methoden zur Diagnosesicherung und Therapie- bzw. Präventionsstrategien.
