Komplikationen bei kosmetischen Piercings und Tätowierungen im Kopf-Hals-Bereich

Zusammenfassung

Piercings und Tätowierungen haben sich im letzten Jahrhundert über alle Kulturkreise hinweg verbreitet, sodass aktuell jeder zehnte Europäer gepierct ist. Während Tätowierungen meist auf den restlichen Körper beschränkt sind, finden sich Piercings oft an Ohren, Nase oder Mund. Nicht selten kommt es dabei zu Komplikationen. Infektionen breiten sich im Bereich des Ohrknorpels besonders schnell aus und erfordern antibiotische und oftmals auch chirurgische Behandlung. Aufgrund einer überschießenden Fibroblastenproliferation kann es nach geringem Trauma (z. B. Ohrlochstechen) zur ausgeprägten Narbenbildung kommen. Besonders Keloide neigen zu Rezidiven und sind deshalb schwer zu behandeln. Seit der Entwicklung von Permanent Make-up kommen auch Tätowierungen häufiger im Kopf-Hals-Bereich vor. Hierbei können vorrangig Infektionen oder allergische Reaktionen auftreten. Therapeutisch stehen am häufigsten topische Lokaltherapien und Laserverfahren zur Auswahl.
