Zusammenfassung

Die retroperitoneale Fibrose (RPF) ist eine seltene chronisch entzündlich-fibrosierende Erkrankung des hinteren Bauchraums. Die Hydronephrose durch extrinsische Harnleiterkompression ist die häufigste Komplikation der Erkrankung, weshalb die Patienten oftmals in urologischer Behandlung sind.

Anhand von Checklisten werden die wichtigsten Fakten der Diagnostik (Symptomatik, Hydronephrose, Laborchemie, Bildgebung, Histologie, Nierenfunktion und Aktivitätsmessung) und Therapie (Therapieziele, medikamentöse und operative Therapie) vorgestellt.
