Zusammenfassung

Die seit fast 50 Jahren durchgeführte Studientagung der Gesellschaft für Pädiatrische Nephrologie (GPN) ist das wichtigste Instrument kooperativer Forschung in der deutschen Kindernephrologie. Sie hat maßgeblich zur Verbesserung der klinischen Versorgung beigetragen und verstärkt die Zusammenarbeit der kindernephrologischen Zentren. Viele wichtige Publikationen belegen den Erfolg. Auch zukünftig werden gemeinsame Studien und Register den Kern der klinischen Forschung der Kindernephrologie – auch unter internationaler Beteiligung – bilden. Aufgrund steigender regulatorischer und finanzieller Hürden wird die Einwerbung von öffentlichen Drittmitteln noch wichtiger werden.
