Zusammenfassung

In der Neurologie und Psychiatrie finden sich oft Patienten mit zentralnervösen Symptomen, die dauerhaft oder episodisch unter vielen anderen Beschwerden leiden, deren Ursache trotz umfangreicher Suche unklar bleibt und deren symptomatische Therapien weitgehend frustran verlaufen. Eine systemische Mastzellaktivierungserkrankung (MCAD) wird nur selten in die differenzialdiagnostischen Überlegungen einbezogen.
