Seit vor ca. 20 Jahren gezeigt wurde, dass der Blutdruck in der aufsteigenden Aorta einen höheren prognostischen Wert für kardiovaskuläre Ereignisse hat als der peripher bestimmte Blutdruck, wird nach einer automatisierten, untersucherunabhängigen nicht invasiven aortalen Blutdruckmessung gesucht. Mit den oszillometrischen Verfahren hat man eine Methode gefunden - doch wie gut ist diese ausgereift? …
