Zusammenfassung

Die vorhandenen Behandlungsoptionen für Schlafstörungen sind eingeschränkt, vor allem bei chronischem Verlauf. Eine erweiterte Betrachtungsweise von Prozessen der Schlafregulation kann über eine Modulation frontaler kortikaler Hirnaktivität oder eine externe Generierung schlafspezifischer Rhythmen zur Entwicklung neuer Interventionsmöglichkeiten führen.
