In the pancreas, intraductal papillary mucinous neoplasms (IPMN) have been reported [
1‐
6] from 1989, and intraductal oncocytic papillary neoplasms (IOPN) have been reported from 1996 [
7]. IOPN is a rare subtype of IPMN. In the hepatobiliary system, which embryologically develops together with the pancreas as a hepato-biliary-pancreatic bud from the mid gut [
8‐
15], such tumors were once called intraductal papillomatosis and papillary carcinoma [
16,
17]. Recently, these hepatobiliary counterparts have been called IPMN [
18‐
20] and IOPN [
21‐
27]. These papillary neoplasms of hepatobiliary systems were very rare, and there were no descriptions of KIT, PDGFRA, MET, and ErbB2 in them. In addition, there have been no reports of IPMN and IOPN of the gallbladder (GB). The author herein reports the first case of IOPN in the GB. …
