This patient was treated with noninvasive positive pressure ventilation (NIPPV) with nasal mask for obstructive sleep apnea. He recently underwent a resection of a chondrosarcoma of the petrous part of the temporal bone. Surgery used an anterior petrosectomy (frontotemporal incision). Biomedical glue replaced the tumor in the extradural space and sealing of the dura mater was done by suturing and adjunction of a fibrinogen–thrombin patch for the prevention of cerebrospinal fluid leaks. No cerebrospinal fluid rhinorrhea has been reported in the aftermath. …
