Zusammenfassung

Ein onkologischer Notfall tritt ein, wenn im Rahmen einer Tumorerkrankung direkt oder indirekt die Vitalparameter so weit beeinträchtigt werden, dass eine Lebensbedrohung entsteht. Eine Vielzahl von metabolischen Entgleisungen und Gerinnungsstörungen lassen sich direkt oder indirekt auf maligne Erkrankungen zurückführen. Zu den typischen metabolisch bedingten onkologischen Notfallsituationen gehören das Tumorlysesyndrom und akute Elektrolytverschiebungen wie Hyperkalzämie oder Hyponatriämie mit konsekutiven Organfunktionseinschränkungen. Sowohl Blutungs- als auch thromboembolische Ereignisse können Notfallsituationen bei onkologischen Patienten hervorrufen. Darüber hinaus ergeben sich durch das rasch wachsende Gebiet der Signaltransduktionsinhibitoren neue Nebenwirkungsprofile metabolischer Art (z. B. Hypophosphatämie, Hypothyreose), die der entsprechenden Erfahrung und vorbeugenden Maßnahmen bedürfen, um bedrohliche Situationen rasch abwenden zu können.
