Onychocola canadensis Sigler bei Onychomykose

Ein neuer Dermatophyten-ähnlicher Schimmelpilz in Deutschland

Zusammenfassung

Schimmelpilze werden als Erreger einer Onychomykose immer häufiger isoliert. Ursache sind beispielsweise Scopulariopsis brevicaulis, Fusarium, Aspergillus, Acremonium, Neoscytalidium dimidiatum, Arthrographis kalrae und Chaetomium. Hier wird erstmals in Deutschland über 5 Patienten mit Verdacht auf eine Onychomykose durch Onychocola canadensis berichtet. Systemische Antimykotika gelten als nicht wirksam bei Non-Dermatophyte-Mould (NDM)-Onychomykosen. Im Einzelfall scheint Terbinafin durchaus wirksam bei einer Onychocola-canadensis-Infektion des Nagels zu sein. Therapie der Wahl ist jedoch die atraumatische Nagelablösung mit 40 % Harnstoffsalbe und anschließender topischer antimykotischer Behandlung mit Ciclopiroxolamin oder Amorolfin in Nagellackform.
