Zusammenfassung

Tumoren des Blinddarms sind selten; etwa 1 % aller Appendektomien weisen eine Neoplasie auf. Hierbei zählen die neuroendokrinen Tumoren zu den häufigsten Neoplasien. Unter den Entitäten der Appendixneoplasien sind weiterhin zu unterscheiden: das Adenokarzinom der Appendix, das muzinöse Adenokarzinom der Appendix sowie die low-grade muzinöse Neoplasie der Appendix, die im Falle einer Perforation ein Pseudomyxoma peritonei ausbilden kann, und die high-grade muzinöse Neoplasie, die erst neuerdings als separate Entität eingestuft wird. Im vorliegenden Beitrag wird auf die Prognose, Diagnostik, Therapie, Pathologie und Nachsorge der einzelnen Entitäten ausführlich eingegangen.
