Zusammenfassung

Im Bereich der Suchtmedizin wurden in den vergangenen Jahrzehnten in Europa erhebliche Fortschritte erzielt, vor allem hinsichtlich der Entwicklung neuer Behandlungsinterventionen, die zu einer Vielzahl von therapeutischen Optionen für Patienten mit Substanzgebrauchsstörungen geführt haben. Jedoch nicht alle Interventionen sind evidenzbasiert. Darüber hinaus gibt es große Unterschiede in Bezug auf die Verfügbarkeit und den Behandlungszugang in ganz Europa. Die Behandlung von Substanzgebrauchsstörungen in Europa hat deshalb noch Verbesserungspotenzial sowohl hinsichtlich der Behandlungsverfügbarkeit als auch des Zugangs, was idealerweise durch die Weiterentwicklung und Umsetzung evidenzbasierter Interventionen gewährleistet werden sollte.
