Zusammenfassung

Der deutsche Bundesrat hat 2015 die Entlassung der Notfallkontrazeptiva aus der Verschreibungspflicht beschlossen. Beobachtungen aus anderen europäischen Ländern sowie erste Daten aus Deutschland zeigen, dass sich trotz dieser Liberalisierung der Abgabe bislang die Rate ungewollter Schwangerschaften nicht verringern ließ. Um dieses Ziel zu erreichen, ist weiterhin eine adäquate Aufklärungsarbeit auf verschiedenen Ebenen unerlässlich.
