Zusammenfassung

Die Arthrose ist in den westlichen Industrienationen zu einer Volkskrankheit geworden. Das Knie ist vom Gelenkverschleiß am häufigsten betroffen, und es werden immer mehr kniegelenkersetzende Operationen durchgeführt. Wann ist eine solche Operation notwendig? Und welche Therapiealternativen gibt es?
