Zusammenfassung

Hintergrund

Lungenfunktionsmessungen werden zunehmend auch bei Klein- und Vorschulkindern durchgeführt. Dafür sind besondere Anforderungen bezüglich Ausstattung und altersentsprechendem Vorgehen zu erfüllen.

Ziel der Arbeit

Vorstellung eines aktuellen Konsensus zur Durchführung und Interpretation von Lungenfunktionsmessungen im Kleinkind- und Vorschulalter.

Material und Methode

Literaturrecherche, Expertenkonsens.

Ergebnisse

Die am häufigsten verwendeten Techniken sind die Spirometrie, die Widerstandsmessung mittels forcierter Oszillation oder Bodyplethysmographie und in spezialisierten Zentren zunehmend auch Gasauswaschtechniken. Diese Methoden können von geschultem Personal reproduzierbar angewandt werden. Zur Beurteilung spirometrischer Messungen werden die neuen Referenzwerte der Global Lung Function Initiative empfohlen.

Schlussfolgerung

Eine Lungenfunktionsmessung ist auch im Kleinkind- und Vorschulalter möglich und ein zunehmend wichtiger Aspekt bei Diagnosefindung und Verlaufsbeurteilung.
