Neue Indikationen für die Peritonealdialyse

Zusammenfassung

Hintergrund

Viele Verbesserungen im Bereich der Peritonealdialyse haben noch keinen flächendeckenden Eingang in den klinischen Gebrauch des Verfahrens gefunden.

Ziel der Arbeit/Fragestellung

Erweiterung des klinischen Einsatzgebiets der Peritonealdialyse und Überprüfen vermeintlicher Kontraindikationen.

Material und Methoden

Literaturrecherche in Pubmed und Medline über Indikationen der Peritonealdialyse, ergänzt durch eigene Erfahrungen.

Ergebnisse

Für die Peritonealdialyse gibt es weltweit ein breites Spektrum an Erfahrungen in verschiedensten Einsatzfeldern, die in Deutschland noch wenig Berücksichtigung finden. Außerdem existieren noch vermeintliche Kontraindikationen, die aufgrund der zahlreichen Verbesserungen des Verfahrens keinen Bestand mehr haben.

Diskussion

Die Peritonealdialyse ist in verschiedensten klinischen Situationen eine effektives Nierenersatzverfahren und erweitert mit seinen spezifischen Vorteilen die Möglichkeiten für patientenadaptierte Therapien.
