PharmacoEconomics - Open is an online, open-access journal for the publication of applied research on the economic implications and health outcomes associated with drugs, devices and other healthcare interventions. PharmacoEconomics - Open focuses on original research and definitive reviews applying sound health economics and outcomes research methods to inform optimal healthcare policy and practice.
PharmacoEconomics - Open offers a range of additional features designed to increase the visibility, readership and educational value of the journal’s content. Each article is accompanied by a Key Points summary, giving a time-efficient overview of the content to a wide readership. Articles may be accompanied by plain language summaries to assist readers who have some knowledge of, but not in-depth expertise in, the area to understand the scientific content and overall implications of the article. The journal also provides the option to include various types of digital features including animated abstracts, video abstracts, slide decks, audio slides, instructional videos, infographics, podcasts and animations. All additional features are peer reviewed to the same high standard as the article itself. Peer review is conducted using Editorial Manager®, supported by a database of international experts. This database is shared with other Adis journals.
Manuscripts submitted to the journal for publication will be subject to an article processing charge (APC) upon acceptance. Please click on the ‘Fees and funding’ link for details of the current APC and open access funding and support services. Adis Open Access enables you to make your journal article freely available to anyone, in exchange for payment of the APC. This option allows you, the author, to retain the copyright of the article according to the terms of the Creative Commons Attribution Non-Commercial (CC BY-NC) License, which does not permit commercial re-use of the article.
The journal will consider fee discounts for developing countries and this is decided on a case by case basis.
