A 79-year-old man developed photosensitive dermatitis during treatment with pirfenidone for idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis (IPF). The man presented to a clinic with an itchy and photosensitive rash on his face, scalp, neck, legs and chest for a duration of three-months. His medical history was significant for IPF for which he recently started receiving treatment with pirfenidone [route and dosage not stated]. Following the presentation, he was diagnosed with photosensitive dermatitis secondary to pirfenidone [duration of treatment to reaction onset not stated]. The man's treatment with pirfenidone was switched to nintedanib. Six-weeks later, his symptoms nearly resolved. …
