Zusammenfassung

Klinisches/methodisches Problem

In der Leberdiagnostik können Fehlinterpretationen zur falschen Einordnung einer Veränderung in eine diffuse Lebererkrankung führen. Leberparenchymveränderungen können jedoch auch fokale Befunde imitieren.

Radiologische Standardverfahren

Die Computertomographie ist ein weit verbreitetes Schnittbildverfahren, um Leberveränderungen darzustellen.

Methodische Innovationen

Die MRT wird oft ergänzend eingesetzt, um spezifische Fragen weiter abzuklären.

Leistungsfähigkeit

Je genauer die Veränderungen einer diffusen Lebererkrankung bekannt sind, umso geringer ist die Wahrscheinlichkeit, dass Befunde in der computertomographischen Schnittbilddiagnostik falsch interpretiert werden. Die Kenntnis um diese Pitfalls hilft, die diagnostische Treffsicherheit zu erhöhen.

Bewertung

Oft bringt eine ergänzende Magnetresonanztomographie entscheidende Hinweise, Pifalls in der Diagnostik zu erkennen.

Empfehlung für die Praxis

Bei diffusen oder fokalen Leberprozessen müssen die Perfusion und die Parenchymstruktur der Leber mit in die Diagnostik einbezogen werden, um Befunde richtig einzuordnen.
