Zusammenfassung

Plazentationsstörungen aus dem Formenkreis von „placenta accreta spectrum“ (PAS) stellen in der Geburtshilfe eine große Herausforderung dar. Sie sind immer noch mit hoher Morbidität und teils auch Mortalität verbunden. Insbesondere die in den vergangenen Jahren angestiegenen Sectioraten haben zu einer deutlich höheren Inzidenz von PAS-Situationen geführt als in den Jahrzehnten zuvor. Neben dem klassischen Therapieansatz der peripartalen Hysterektomie erscheinen konservative Strategien zunehmend interessant, da sie die Morbidität reduzieren können und zugleich die Option des Fertilitätserhalts beinhalten.
