Zusammenfassung

Der plötzliche Herztod bei jungen Sportlern (unter 35 Jahren) ist zwar selten, aber immer tragisch. In Anbetracht neuer Daten und neuer diagnostischer Ver­fahren soll das Phänomen hier diskutiert werden. Werden durch intensive sport­liche Betätigung kardiale Strukturen geschädigt?
