Chronische Rhinosinusitis mit Polypen

Die Polyposis nasi als immunologische Erkrankung

Zusammenfassung

Die chronische Rhinosinusitis (CRS) mit Polypen gilt als multifaktorielle Erkrankung, eine eindeutige Erklärung wie es zu den Gewebsveränderungen kommt, fehlt noch immer. Die CRS mit Nasenpolypen wird als meist TH2-basierte und eosinophil-dominierte Entzündung beschrieben, bei der verschiedene assoziierte Erkrankungen das Entzündungsmuster verändern können — möglicherweise ein Grund, warum bis jetzt keine einheitliche Therapie entwickelt werden konnte. Künftig könnte sich eine individuell auf den Patienten zugeschnittene, endotypgesteuerte Behandlung als optimal erweisen.
