Zusammenfassung

Das polyzystische Ovarsyndrom (PCOS) manifestiert sich häufig bereits im Jugendalter. Die Definition des PCOS kann nicht einfach vom Erwachsenen- in das Jugendalter übertragen werden, da Zyklusunregelmäßigkeiten physiologisch sind und polyzystische Ovarien zu Beginn der Erkrankung häufig noch nicht nachweisbar sind.
