Zusammenfassung

Übelkeit und Erbrechen in der postoperativen Phase (»postoperative nausea and vomitting«, PONV) sind häufige und sehr unangenehme Nebenwirkungen von Operation und Narkose. Diese störende Komplikation wirkt sich ungünstig auf die postoperative Erholung der Patienten aus und sollte daher konsequent am Besten mit einem multimodalen Therapie- und Prophylaxekonzept angegangen werden.
