Zusammenfassung

Kardiovaskuläre Erkrankungen sind nach wie vor die häufigsten Ursachen eines vorzeitigen Todes. Eine Beeinflussung von Morbidität und Mortalität ist durch eine Änderung des Lebensstils möglich. Zugleich wird dadurch die Lebensqualität verbessert. Im Mittelpunkt der Prävention steht die regelmäßige körperliche Aktivität. Sie verbessert zudem die Rehabilitation und wirkt wie ein Medikament als wirksame therapeutische Intervention.
