Zusammenfassung

Egal ob Band‑, Knorpel- oder Meniskusverletzung, eine strukturelle Schädigung des Knies stellt nach wie vor eine der schwersten Sportverletzungen dar. Trotz moderner konservativer und operativer Therapieverfahren ist mit einer langen Ausfallzeit zu rechnen. Eine Rückkehr auf das Ausgangsniveau ist für bis zu 50 % der Sportler nicht möglich. Hier setzt seit ca. 3 Jahrzehnten die Prävention von Knieverletzungen mit gezieltem neuromuskulärem Training an, um das Risiko für diese Schädigungen zu verringern. Im folgenden Artikel ist aktuelles Wissen zur Prävention von Knieverletzungen zusammengefasst – zur Weitergabe an Sportler und Patienten.
