Incomplete Duplication of the Bladder. A Case Report

Abstract
Duplication of the bladder is an unusual congenital anomaly and is usually associated with other anomalies. We report an unusual case of duplicated bladder in a 8-year-old boy resulting from a septum in the sagittal plane. This malformation was associated with dysplasia of the left kidney and agenesis of the left testicle. The basic defects that lead to duplication of the lower urinary tract are unknown.
Résumé
La duplication de la vessie est une anomalie congénitale rare et souvent associée à d'autres anomalies. Nous rapportons un cas rare de vessie dupliquée en rapport avec un septum sagittal chez un garçon de 8 années. La malformation était associée à une dysplasie du rein gauche et à une agénésie du testicule gauche. Les anomalies qui conduisent à la duplication du tractus urinaire inférieur sont inconnues.
Resumen
La duplicación de la vejiga es una anomalía congénita rara que se presenta generalmente con otras anomalías. Presentamos un caso raro de duplicación de vejiga en un varón de 8 añes con un septo en el plano sagital. Esta malformación se asociaba a displasia del riñón izquierdo y agenesia del testículo izquierdo. Los defectos básicos que causan la duplicación del tracto urinario inferior no son conocidos.
Zusammenfassung
Eine Blasenduplikatur ist eine ungewöhnliche, angeborene Fehlbildung, die mit weiteren Begleitfehlbildungen verbunden ist. Es wird ein 8-jähriger Junge vorgestellt mit einer Blasenduplikatur, gebildet durch ein sagittales Septum. Der Junge litt gleichzeitig unter einer Dysplasie der linken Niere mit Agenesie des linken Hodens. Der zugrundeliegende pathogenetische Defekt der Duplikatur sowie der gleichzeitigen Fehlbildung des Urogenitaltrakts ist unbekannt.
