Zusammenfassung

Bei zahlreichen psychischen Erkrankungen ist Psychotherapie die Methode der ersten Wahl und einer ausschließlichen Psychopharmakotherapie überlegen. Wann ist eine reine Psychotherapie ausreichend? Wann ist eine Kombination aus Psychotherapie und Psychopharmakotherapie indiziert? Diese praxisrelevanten Fragen werden auf der Grundlage der aktuellen empirischen Evidenz diskutiert. Die Auswirkungen einer begleitenden Psychopharmakotherapie auf die therapeutische Beziehung und den therapeutischen Prozess werden reflektiert.
