Septic arthritis of the shoulder is relatively rare compared with septic arthritis of the knee or hip [1]. Weston et al. [2] reported that pyogenic arthritis with joint edema and local heating sensations is a very serious disease, with a mortality rate of 11 %; it also triggers permanent joint damage in one third of affected patients. Weston et al. [2] added that before making differential diagnosis from other diseases, its treatment should be the same as that for pyogenic arthritis. …
