We read with interest the article by Hacioglu et al. [
1] reporting the reliability of tuberculin skin test (TST) with respect to bacilli Calmette–Guerrin (BCG) vaccination and drugs that were used in patients with immune-mediated inflammatory diseases (IMIDs) candidates for anti-tumour necrosis factor (TNF) therapy. The authors concluded that BCG vaccination may be associated with positive TST among candidates for anti-TNF treatment despite the long time since vaccination, and that prednisolone and azathioprine use were associated with negative TST in this population. …
