Zusammenfassung

Mit Diagnosestellung einer Epilepsie ist eine medikamentöse antikonvulsive Therapie angezeigt. Ergänzend dazu sollten Patienten aber gerade zu Beginn der Erkrankung über therapeutische Allgemeinmaßnahmen informiert werden. Spätestens nach Versagen des zweiten Medikaments muss ein Patient darüber hinaus über nicht medikamentöse Therapiemöglichkeiten aufgeklärt werden.
