Zusammenfassung

Die Chronifizierung von Schmerzen ist ein großes Problem, ihre Verhinderung daher anzustreben. Prinzipiell ist davon auszugehen, dass die Chronifizierung von Rückenschmerzen durch ein komplexes Zusammenwirken zahlreicher Einflussgrößen aus sehr unterschiedlichen Merkmalsbereichen zustande kommt. Es liegt für den individuellen Fall vermutlich eine Summation von Risikofaktoren aus verschiedenen Bereichen vor, sodass ihre frühzeitige individuelle Identifikation einen besonders großen Stellenwert hat. Ziel ist es, Personen mit einem hohen Chronifizierungsrisiko durch psychosoziale Faktoren frühzeitig zu identifizieren und sie ggf. einer spezifischen Behandlung zuzuführen, um damit das Risiko eines langwierigen, komplizierten und kostenintensiven Krankheitsverlaufs abzuwenden.
