In a study of 68 patients treated with rituximab for autoimmune diseases between May 2011 and January 2012, one patient [age and sex not stated] was described, who developed an infusion related reaction following administration of rapid infusion of rituximab. The patient, who had autoimmune disease, received IV infusion of rituximab 1000mg followed by a second rituximab infusion after two weeks along with methylprednisolone, paracetamol [acetaminophen] and diphenhydramine administered as premedications. Subsequently, the patient developed infusion related reaction to rituximab in the form of dyspnoea and cough [times to reactions onsets and outcomes not stated]. …
