Conventional colonoscopy (CC) is still the gold standard procedure for the prevention of colorectal cancer [
1]. On the other hand, robotic colonoscopy (RC) is a pneumatically driven self-propelling probe (Endotics System
®) able to investigate the colon with high accuracy and reliability, even in those cases in which the intended exploration of the entire colon with CC failed [
2]. Specifically, the second-generation Endotics System
® (Endotics, Peccioli, Pisa, Italy) has been launched with encouraging preliminary results, with a steep learning curve, accurate diagnosis and the possibility of removing polypoidal lesions. It is composed of a workstation and a handheld controller. Since the probe is disposable, the risk of infection is eliminated and the probe is equipped with a steerable tip, a soft flexible body and a thin tail, so that the procedure is painless for the patient, even without sedation and there is no risk of perforation [
