Ruptur einer zerebralen arteriovenösen Malformation

Plötzlicher Tod einer 16-Jährigen aus natürlicher Ursache

Zusammenfassung

Arteriovenöse Malformationen stellen Gefäßfehlbildungen dar, die durch einen arteriovenösen Shunt ohne regulär angelegtes Kapillarbett gekennzeichnet sind. Die Prävalenz von Hirnmanifestationen wird in der Literatur mit großer Variabilität angegeben. Hirnblutungen, die aus der Läsion einer zerebralen arteriovenösen Malformation resultieren und zum plötzlichen, unerwarteten Todeseintritt führen, werden im rechtsmedizinischen Obduktionsgut vergleichsweise selten beobachtet. Die forensische Bedeutung des Krankheitsbilds wird am Beispiel einer 16 Jahre alt gewordenen weiblichen Person dargestellt, die aus zunächst unerklärlichen Gründen tot im Badezimmer der Wohnung ihrer Eltern aufgefunden wurde.
