29. Beatmung bei Schädel- Hirn-Trauma und erhöhtem intrakraniellem Druck

Zusammenfassung

Patienten mit schwerem Schädel-Hirn-Trauma werden sehr häufig maschinell beatmet. Allerdings werden durch die Beatmung und die verzögerte Extubation respiratorische Komplikationen (v. a. nosokomiale Pneumonien) begünstigt, die sich ungünstig auf die neurologische Erholung und die Mortalität aus. Daher sollten Behandlungskonzepte eingesetzt werden, mit denen die Phase der maschinellen Beatmung und endotrachealen Intubation so kurz wie möglich gehalten wird.
