17. Schmerzreduktion bei Blutabnahmen und Injektionen

Zusammenfassung

Blutabnahmen und Impfungen sind für Kinder eine häufige und starke Schmerzerfahrung. Schmerz im medizinischen Kontext ist belastender als Alltagsschmerz. Pharmakologische, v. a. lokalanästhetische Maßnahmen sollten mit psychologischen Interventionen (z. B. Aufklärung, Anleitung der Kinder und Eltern, Ablenkung) verbunden werden, um den Stress durch Injektionen auf ein Minimum zu reduzieren. Die Art der Intervention richtet sich am Alter und dem Entwicklungsstand des Kindes aus. Von überragender Wichtigkeit ist die Anwendung von EMLA („Eutectic Mixture of Local Anesthetics“).
