Zusammenfassung

Die Zahl der Patienten, die mit komplexen „cardiac implantable electronic devices“ (CIED) versorgt sind, nimmt stetig zu. Für die sichere perioperative Betreuung dieses Patientenguts ist das Verständnis der medizinischen Indikationen und technischen Funktionsweisen dieser Geräte Grundvoraussetzung. Es gibt eine Vielzahl an Störeinflüssen, denen CIED im perioperativen Setting ausgesetzt sind. Folgen können potenziell bedrohliche Komplikationen wie „exit block“ oder „oversensing“ sein. Die sichere Durchführung von Eingriffen ist möglich, sofern einige grundlegende Regeln beachtet werden. Ein interdisziplinärer Ansatz aller beteiligten Fachdisziplinen ist hierbei zu fordern, um den hohen logistischen Anforderungen gerecht zu werden.
