Das humane Immundefizienzvirus (HIV) gehört zur Gattung der lymphotropen Lentiviren und entstammt der Familie der Retroviren [1]. Im Jahr 1983 wurde es erstmals von Montagnier und Barré-Sinoussi isoliert und beschrieben [2]. Eine Übertragung des Virus erfolgt über Kontakt zu kontaminierten Körperflüssigkeiten, beispielsweise Blut, Vaginalsekret oder Sperma, sowie im Rahmen einer vertikalen Transmission von der Schwangeren auf ihr Kind. Als häufigster Übertragungsweg gilt allgemein der ungeschützte Geschlechtsverkehr [3]. …
