Zusammenfassung

Die Idee, Refraktionsfehler und Presbyopie mihilfe von Sehübungen zu kompensieren oder gar zu beheben, ist nicht neu. Die wissenschaftliche Evidenz für die meisten Ansätze ist jedoch unzureichend. Ein aktuell propagiertes Verfahren ist das „perzeptuelle Lernen“. Dieses soll dazu führen, dass die Sehreize im Gehirn besser verarbeitet werden. Das Grundphänomen wurde in zahlreichen Studien für eine Vielzahl von Sehaufgaben nachgewiesen. Auch für die konkrete Anwendung bei Refraktionsfehlern und Presbyopie liegen einige Studien vor. Es bleiben jedoch zahlreiche Fragen zur Wirksamkeit offen, insbesondere hinsichtlich der Übertragbarkeit trainingsinduzierter Verbesserungen auf das Sehen im Alltag. Das Verfahren muss deshalb derzeit zurückhaltend beurteilt werden.
