Cancer of the small bowel is a rare malignancy. With an incidence of less than 1 per 100,000 persons, it makes up only 5% of all gastrointestinal tract cancers. Celiac disease is a relatively common pathology and is often associated with the development of small bowel lymphoma. However, it is also a known risk factor for small bowel adenocarcinoma (SBA).
