15. Interventionelle Verfahren in der Schmerztherapie

Zusammenfassung

Mit dem Begriff Neuromodulationsverfahren werden nichtdestruktive, reversible schmerztherapeutische Verfahren am peripheren oder zentralen Nervensystem bezeichnet. Sie beinhalten Stimulationsverfahren mittels extern applizierter oder implantierter Elektroden und die intrathekale Medikamentengabe. Diese Methoden haben heutzutage die destruktiven Verfahren weitgehend abgelöst. Da diagnostische oder therapeutische Blockaden letztlich auch eine Modulation am Rezeptor oder der primären Afferenz bewirken, werden Blockaden bei bestimmten Schmerzerkrankungen und die wirbelsäulennahen Injektionsverfahren in dieses Kapitel mit aufgenommen.
