Auf dem Weg zur Standardsäule der Versorgung von Krebspatienten

Zusammenfassung

Die klinisch relevanten Effekte bewegungstherapeutischer Interventionen wurden über alle Phasen der onkologischen Behandlung in zahlreichen „high quality trials“, systematischen Übersichtsartikeln und Metaanalysen belegt. Neben den positiven Einflüssen auf behandlungsspezifische Nebenwirkungen können Bewegungsmangelsymptome verhindert und die gesundheitsspezifische Lebensqualität verbessert werden. Auch die Chemotherapieadhärenz lässt sich positiv beeinflussen, sodass die optimale medizinische Therapie besser toleriert wird. Neueste Daten erhärten zunehmend den Verdacht, dass die krebsspezifische Mortalität bei Mamma- und Kolonkarzinom durch regelmäßige körperliche Bewegung gesenkt werden kann. Auf dem Weg zur Standardsäule in der onkologischen Behandlung fehlen neben der Klärung der optimalen Trainingssteuerung sowie des bewegungstherapeutischen Einsatzes bei fortgeschrittenen Erkrankungen flächendeckende und qualitätsgesicherte therapeutische Versorgungsstrukturen in Deutschland.
