Depressive Störungen sind nach der Eisenmangelanämie und den Hautkrankheiten weltweit die dritthäufigste Ursache für Lebensjahre mit Behinderung bei Kindern und Jugendlichen [1]. Dennoch ist die Datenlage bezüglich der Therapiemöglichkeiten sehr begrenzt und die Versorgungslage depressiver Kinder und Jugendlicher nicht ausreichend. Doch gerade die Behandlung psychischer Erkrankungen bei Kindern und Jugendlichen ist wichtig, da eine Depression diese so entscheidende und wichtige Lebensphase für die soziale, emotionale und kognitive Entwicklung stark einschränken kann und somit die Vulnerabilität für weitere psychische Erkrankungen, das Weiterbestehen der depressiven Symptomatik sowie das Risiko für Suizidalität erhöht [2, 3, 4]. …
